Pedro Aguirre Cerda

If there is one person that I admire a lot, it is Pedro Aguirre Cerda, he was a Chilean politician, educator and lawyer. He was born on February 6, 1879 and died on November 25, 1941. He was a deputy between 1915 to 1921 and a senator from 1921 to 1927 and president of the republic from 1938 to 1941, dying when he still had 3 years to his presidential term.

From his beginnings in politics he worried about the lower and middle class of the country, this was when he assumed as president, a period in which he promoted and sought to strengthen public education, He was in favor of increasing women's rights (the right to vote, for example). Furthermore, it created CORFO in an attempt to industrialize the country to generate better development conditions for people.

I especially like his person because he showed that he wanted to work for people, which is the purpose of every public servant. Their mottos include "To govern is to educate" and "Bread, roof and coat". The affection that people felt for him led him to receive two nicknames: "Don tinto" and "The president of the poor".

Favourite musician

In this topic it is very difficult for me to choose a favorite genre, since I was a child until now I have gone through different stages and therefore my musical tastes have varied quite a bit. Because of this I prefer to list some artists or groups that I have liked and then I will highlight which one I like the most currently.

The first band that I loved was Green Day, I was about 11 years old and although I never identified with their genre, their music was to my liking. As I grew up I was going to discover new groups or artists, the ones that have influenced me the most seem like of the Los Prisioneros, Los bunkers and Los Tres. In addition, I also like music or older styles, such as Queen, Pink Floyd and in Spanish I really like Camilo Sesto and Raphael.

Currently my favorite band is Los Tres, since I was little I like them, but this last year considered as the ones I was rediscovering, I dedicate myself to better understand the lyrics and be careful with their musicality. I think they manage to merge these two factors to the point of generating songs that captivate me, I never tire of listening to them.

A PHOTOGRAPH

I must assume I am very bad at take photos, I never was learned anything related with points of light or the types of focusing and other technical things how the ISO, but I really like to see photos, I think that is a different way of understanding to other people, since we can try to guess what the photographer felt when taking said photo.

I really like this photo because I consider this image the closest to idea of "sky" or "the beyond", in addition to transmitting incredible tranquility also leaves us the impression that we are only stardust floating in nothing, or rather, in a whole.

Definitely one of my goals will be to go to the Salar de Uyuni at some point in my life.

Movies and Series: Say my name

I consider myself a true fan of the series, not of one in particular, but the series itself, I like to do marathons and watch long series in a short time, it is my blessing and my curse.

If I had to choose one, it would be Breaking Bad, by Vince Gilligan, this is the series I liked the most and I really enjoyed watching it, in fact, I decided to watch only 2 episodes per day to "lengthen" its duration.

The story is about Walter White, a chemistry professor who is diagnosed with cancer, because of this he intends to enter the drug business with a former student of his: Jesse Pinkman. In addition, your brother-in-law is a member of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), so you must do all this much more carefully. This is how you end up living two completely different lives simultaneously.

I like evertything about Breaking Bad, character development, the script, the climaxes, etc. I reakky consider it a complete piece of art.

My favourite piece of technology

Despite not agreeing so much with the term: favorite, in this case I think I can make an exception, because without a doubt my laptop is my favorite device currently. Although I am not sure if it is for pleasure or obligation.

Due to the global pandemic that we are currently experiencing, the classes at the universities are now online, due to this, I have to spend a lot of time in front of my laptop, also due to the pandemic, we cannot leave the house so series or movies are a very good quarantine distraction.

Since I was 13 years old I have a laptop, I received the first one through a government grant. Currently I have a much better one, which I could buy after working a few months.

My laptop is now my university, my cinema, my television, etc. I use it for many hours every day and I can't imagine what my life would be like today without it, I don't think I can do the same activities just with my cell phone.

Why did I choose this career?

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog again, today I'm going to talk about my career and my motivations for choose it, but for that I must first tell them how I got here, let's start.


When I was a child my dream was to be an astronaut, for to know gravity 0 (I really still want to experience it). In my adolescense and especially in the final stage of school I did not know what to study, I liked the hisroty, but i did not see myself as a historian. I also liked the chemistry, but not so much to study it. Finally I decided to study public managment because his field of work is very diverse, so i would have more options to find an área that satisfies me.

My experience in the university have was a really good the first year, the people is very nice, from classmates to teachers and obviously the education assistants. This year has been strange for online clases, but so for it is going well.

I want to work at the SENAME, because I believe that we all deserve the opportunity to be who we want to be, without restrictions, and I want childreen to be free to choose their future, that is my idea of freedom, nor should gravity have the power of control you. You have to be an astronuat :)

My autobiography

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. My name is Nicolás Chávez Cabrer, i was born on novermber 29, 1999, in Independencia, Santiago of Chile. I live all my life in La Cisterna with my parents and my two siblings. My parents got divorcied in 2016 and two months ago we moved to pirque with my mother, my siblings and two dogs: Barto and Keyla. In summary, our father left, but we won two dogs, i think it is a favorable result.

In my chilhood i study in a private school in La Cisterna, because of this i know unnecesary amount of data of the Bible and Jesus (he loves you). In my adolescence i got in a public school called José Victorino Lastarria -yes, i'm a "Pitufo"-. In addition to complete my education at that school, i met most of my Friends there.

Currently, i'm studying public managment at EGGP, University of Chile, i really like my career.

My hobbies is listen to music (i like Queen, Pink Floyd, Los Tres, etc.), read to books that talk about politics, and obviusly watch series and movies on Netflix.

My mother has a little ice factory, in my house may be missing shampoo or drink, but never the ice. I'm the party´s soul because i always have ice for the piscolas.
